Taking a trip to cambodia:
Cambodia is a beautiful country with very friendly people, cheap prices relative to the west and good weather and so it is no wonder that it attracts lots of tourists every year. However, it is always a good idea to have an awareness of what the country is like before you head out so here are some things you should know before you leave:
Most people dress casually most of the time, with the exception of when they are attending formal events. The krama is a popular piece of clothing – a long, narrow, chequered cotton cloth which they wear around their necks. It is generally recommended that you wear light, loose fitting clothing as well as long sleeves to protect yourself against the sun and the mosquitoes. An umbrella is usually a useful thing to have during the rainy season.
There is a range of good entertainment opportunities available, from the theatre and cinema to traditional dance and clubs and bars that you could visit.
Although no vaccinations are strictly required to visit the country you are encouraged to protect yourself against hepatitis A and B, malaria, typhoid and tetanus.
Drink lots of water! It’s very hot!
As well as a visa you must make sure that you get an entry stamp in your passport. Failing to do so will cause massive problems when you are trying to leave.
